Concerning the inadequate service for children with special educational needs (SEN), the Lok Sin Tong Benevolent Society has launched the “Support Services for Children with Special Education Needs” program in 2012. Since 2016, our Centre has been renamed as the ‘Lok Sin Tong Yang Xiao Ling Speech Therapy Centre’, and has been located in the Mong Kok District.

Our Centre adopts a multi-disciplinary approach, in which our staff includes speech therapists, social workers, and a special child care worker.  We aim at providing a one-stop support service to children with SEN, adults in needs and their families; and promoting public education.

 

Target Service Groups:

  1. Children from birth to secondary school students with SEN
  2. Adults and elderly with language and speech disorders and/or swallowing difficulties

 

Scope of Service

Supporting Service for Students with SEN

  • Assessment(Preliminary Assessment on Preschool Children’s Abilities)
  • Individual training(Preschooler development training)
  • Group training
  • Parents and public education services

Speech Therapy Services

  • Assessment (Areas: receptive and expressive language, articulation, fluency, voice and feeding and swallowing)
  • Individual Therapy
  • Themed Workshops

Assessment Fee - Mon to Fri $990/1hr  Sat $1,080/1hr 

(A brief report will be provided. $1600 for every detail report (upon request))

Individual Therapy Fee - Mon to Fri $800/45mins  Sat $850/45mins

 

Occupational Therapy Services

  • Assessment (Areas : Fine motor ability, sensory-motor ability, sensory response, Self-Care Ability, Play Skill)
  • Individual Therapy

Assessment Fee - Mon to Fri $990/45mins;  Sat $1,080/45mins
