Visiting Medical Practitioner Service

The Lok Sin Tong Benevolent Society, Kowloon has been providing a wide range of primary medical services and outreach health promotion services for the general public. With the objective to improve the service quality of residential care homes, The LST was appointed by the Social Welfare Department to provide visiting medical practitioner services for residential care homes for elderly and persons with disabilities. The scheme aims at providing basic medical treatment and drug prescription services for residents, promoting health of the residents and reducing their dependence on the public health sector.

Service Support
1) Outreach Medical Service Team:

The LST has set up an outreach medical service team to maintain close co-operation with private residential care homes so as to optimize residential care services.

2) Drug management and delivery system:

In order to provide safe and efficient medical services, The LST has adopted a computerized consultation system and set up a community pharrmacy for centralized drug dispensing, management and delivery service.
