(20 November, 2018 – Hong Kong) The Lok Sin Tong Benevolent Society, Kowloon (Also known as “Lok Sin Tong”) is pleased to announce that its paid maternity leave entitlement would be extended from the current 10 weeks to 14 weeks with effective from 1 November 2018 and apply to all eligible staffs in headquarters, all subsidized medical, social welfare and elderly services units today.

The paid maternity leave arrangement of all teaching staffs in all subsidized Lok Sin Tong schools are now in accordance with the conditions provided by the relevant Code of Aid by Education Bureau and Lok Sin Tong will review the related leave extension arrangement when appropriate.

Lok Sin Tong,  one of the major charity organizations in Hong Kong and awarded as ‘Family-Friendly Employer’,  employs over thousands of staff and  reviews its staff welfare policy regularly to ensure employee health and holistic well-being. The new extension policy is an enhancement to the existing 10 weeks fully paid maternity leave entitlement.
