Lok Sin Tong Cup 2019

(6th January 2019, Hong Kong) Jointly organized by The Lok Sin Tong Benevolent Society, Kowloon and The Hong Kong Jockey Club, the annual Lok Sin Tong Cup was held today (6 Jan) at Sha Tin Racecourse. It was a 1400m race on turf “C+3” course with Class 4 prize money scheduled as Race 6. GOLDEN FOUR became the champion among the 14 horses while ROYAL RACER and ALPHA HEDGE won the 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up respectively.

As a perpetual cup race of The Hong Kong Jockey Club, the Lok Sin Tong Cup has been competed for 18 years. Mr. LEE Shing Put, Chairman of Lok Sin Tong, said in the speech that Lok Sin Tong launched various new services in recent years, including three phases of“Lok Sin Tong Social Housing Project”, Lok Sin Tong 3rd social enterprise – “LST RehaCare” and “Lok Sin Tong 1st Care for Disadvantaged Group – Innovation and Technology Design Competition”. Chairman Lee added that Lok Sin Tong would continue to provide quality services to the society with the support from governments, donors and our stakeholders.

Guests attending the event included Professor Sophia CHAN, JP, Secretary for Food and Health, Ms. Alice LEE Nga Lai, Kowloon City District Commander and Mr. Pun Kwok Wah, JP, Chairman of the Kowloon City District Council.
