Seasonal Influenza Vaccination Service

Influenza is an infectious viral disease that could be spread by respiratory droplets. The disease is characterized by fever, sore throat, cough, headache, muscle aches, runny nose and general tiredness, but serious complications could occur in vulnerable persons. Vaccination is one of the most effective ways to prevent the disease from spreading in the community.

The LST is implementing the influenza vaccination program during winter influenza season. Participants will be vaccinated with the inactivated influenza vaccine (IIV). All eligible groups are fully subsidized by the Department of Health. Eligible groups include children from 6 months to those less than 18 years old (or secondary school students), people over 50 years old, pregnant women, people with intellectual disabilities and those receiving disability allowance.
